Shabbir urges India to show seriousness on Kashmir dispute


Srinagar, Dec 24: Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that Kashmir is not a territorial dispute between Pakistan and India but an issue pertaining to the political future of millions of Kashmiris...

Shabbir Ahmad Shah while addressing a public gathering in Ganderbal urged India to show seriousness to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people. “Brutal and cruel regimes are crumbling in the world and soon the Kashmiris will also see the dawn of freedom,” he added.
The senior APHC leader maintained that the people of Jammu and Kashmir had been rendering enormous sacrifices for liberation of their soil from Indian subjugation. He paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the district Ganderbal who laid down their lives for the righteous cause and stated that their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste.
Shabbir Shah pointed out that durable peace in South Asia was not possible without settling the dispute over Kashmir.
