BARAMULLA, February 28: Police on Tuesdays said that a person died by consuming some poisonous substance in Baramulla district of Kashmir valley.

They said that Bashir Ahmad Malla, 40, son of Abdul Rahim resident of Mahrajpora, Sopore consumed some poisonous substance at his home after which he was rushed to hospital for treatment. He succumbed on the way to hospital, they added.
Proceedings under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) have been initiated in this regard.
