Police arrested 3 burglars from Srinagar
Srinagar, February 28: Police on Tuesday said that it solved three burglary cases and arrested three accused persons in this context.
The arrests were made by a special team led by the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), West Zone, Srinagar, Mr Shalinder Mishra, sources said adding that the cases were registered this year in police station Parimpora.
Sources said that the team was made following growing number of burglary incidents in the area. Police sources revealed the identity of the arrested persons as Syed Zafar Shah son of Syed Muzaffar resident of Devar Pattan, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Mirgund and Mahraj-ud-Din Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Mirgund.
The accused persons have confessed to the commission of the crime, sources said. Sources said that the gang had specialized lock breaker who used a long screwdriver to break open locks of houses, which were vacant during the winter months.
With the arrest of the trio, police has solved case FIR No’s 04/2012, 50/2012 and 54/2012, registered with police Station Parimpora and have recovered gold, copper wares, one laptop and other items from the possession of the arrestees.
