SRINAGAR; 23, Aug 2012: Two girls committed suicide while another youth is battling for life after consuming poison at different places in the valley.

11 years girl (name withheld) resident of Cheek Rambirpora, Kulgam consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was immediately shifted to SMHS Srinagar. However, she breathed her last on way to the hospital. After completing all medico legal formalities the body of girl was handed over to her relatives for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, 15 years girl (name with held) resident of Wagoora, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kreeri consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar. She also died on way to the hospital. Kreeri Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another incident, 22 years old Gulzar Ahmad Chopan son of Abdul Satar Chopan resident of Watergam, consumed some poisonous substance at his home, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kreeri, Baramulla. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kreeri where from he has been referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. Police Kreeri has registered a case in this regard.
