Baramulla: 27,Aug 2012: A 30-year- old man was injured in a bear attack at Bakhipora, Rafiabad village in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday. Witness said the bear appeared in the village Sunday afternoon and attacked Muhammad Maqbool Lone, 30, son of Abdul Wali Muhammad Lone. They said the bear injured Lone in the head. Lone was rushed to Public Health Centre Dangiwacha for treatment. The bear makes appearances in the area for past few months and has created panic among the locals. “We are feeling insecure,” said Masrat Hamza, a local. “Authorities should deploy Wildlife Protection Force personnel of the area.” Earlier, a woman from the same village was injured in another bear attack.
