Tehreek e Hurriyat cadre being unjustifiably harassed: Geelani

SRINAGAR; 12. Aug, 2012: APHC chairman Syed Ali Geelani has condemned the police crackdown on the cadre of Tehreek e Hurriyat. He said that police is harassing the members of the party under one or the other pretext.
In a fresh incident police in Pattan arrested a member of TeH  Javid Ahmad Bhat some days ago and has  subjected him to worst physical  torture. He is being pressed to own the grenade attack on Pattan police station  on 8th august.  Police is also trying to involve other TeH  member Abdullah Nasir in this incident. Chairman APHC warned police to end this methodology. He said that the duo is not involved in any   attack on police  and they are just being framed to  please higher ups. He said That TeH strictly believes in  peaceful struggle. The party is gaining popularity  and people are supporting its programs. this has created panic  in police and administration and they have started cracking down on TeH  cadre. Each and every movement of our cadre is being watched  and record for the same is maintained. He said that the game plan for the harassment has been prepared in Delhi and the local police is only being used as a tool. He said that kashmiris were not being provided  political space to express their feeling and this  can lead to adverse results.
