2 Mujahideens martyred by Indian forces in Sopore
BARAMULLA; 21, Oct 2012: Indian forces today martyred two top Lashkar-e-Toiba mujahids, during an encounter in Sopore area of Baramulla District
Two Indian troopers were also shot dead by Mujahids.
"Two bodies have been recovered from the debris of the house where the mujahids were hiding. One of them has been identified as Muzammil alias Urfi, the Divisional Commander of Lashkar," a police spokesman said.
The other slain mujahid has been identified as Abdullah Shaheen, a resident of Pakistan, he said.
Three security force personnel -- an Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, an Indian Army trooper and earlier a CRPF trooper -- were also killed in the encounter that began in Shalpora locality of Sopore yesterday.
The house, in which the mujahids were fighting, was razed to ground by Indian forces this morning.
