Encounter broke out in Chankan Sopore
BARAMULLA; 20, Oct 2012: A gunbattle broke out today between mujahideens and Indian forces in Sopore town of Baramulla district.
Indian forces launched a cordon and search operation in Chanakhan locality of Sopore, following information about presence of mujahideens in the area, police said.
Soon after sometime, firing took place between Indian forces and Mujahideens
No one was reported to be injured in the firing yet but Indian forces have cordoned off the area.
More Indian army troopers were rushed to the site.
