Malik resumes fund collection for Doda quake victims

SRINAGAR; 20. May 2013: A day after returning back from Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik started fund raising campaign for the earthquake victims of Chinab valley on Monday.
In a statement a spokesperson of the JKLF said Malik met a galaxy of rich people and collected funds for the victims of Doda, Baderwah, Kishtiwar. “Rs two lakh and 52 thousand were collected today and so far Rs 10 lakh and 46 thousands have been collected for the cause,” he said.
While thanking the people who participated in the campaign and contributed for the benefit of affected brothers of Chenab valley Malik said, “We are duty bound to help our brothers and sisters who are suffering from natural calamity.”
Meanwhile, JKLF has strongly condemned the ‘atrocities’ committed on the prisoners languishing in Bramulla sub jail. “Three brothers of Ganai family with the help of authorities have unleashed a reign of terror in this jail. These policemen must remember the fate of their predecessors Rajni Sahgel, Salim Mirza, Vinood and Rashid Lomdi who oppressed prisoners and now are paying for their misdeeds in the same jail,” the JKLF spokesperson said.
