GANDERBAL; 21, July 2013: Police had arrested two drug addicts in Saloora village of Ganderbal on the charges of desecration of Holy Quran.

According to Police statement, "Two persons behind the incident have been identified, A case has been registered and investigation has been started. Initial investigations revealed that two drug addicts of the village were involved in the act."

Meanwhile reports of massive protests were reported from the Saloora and adjoining areas of the district. People took on streets to protest against the desecration of the Holy Book.
