GANDERBAL; 21, July 2013: People in Saloora Ganderbal have alleged that the Indian forces have desecrated the Holy Quran in a local mosque there. The news have sparked the protests in the area.

“We found holy Quran desecrated in the mosque. Also we found a police belt and shoe outside the mosque”, said locals. Police have reportedly taken the desecrated copy of Holy Quran, the belt and the shoe into its own custody.

As soon as the news spread, hundreds of pages and profile on social networking sites started to upload pics of that copy, triggering more tension in the volatile areas.
