SRINAGAR; 25, Aug 2013: Jamait Ahlihadees (J&K) Majlis Shoura has elected Moulana Professor Ghulam Mohammad Bhat Almadani as the new president of Jamiat Ahlihadees Jammu Kashmir. He superseded his nearest opponent ex- president Jamiat Moulana Ghulam Rasool Malik.

 Bhat sahib got 282 out of 425 votes and was declared winner by the chief election commissioner mufti Mohammad Yakoob Baba Almadani. Bhat sahib has been general secretary of Jamiat Ahlihadees under the president ship of Martyr Moulana Professor Mohammad Ramzan. He is presently Principal of Salafia Arabic college Bemina. Bhat is among the first people who completed their studies from Madina University. He is reckoned to be one of the best Ulema of Kashmir.
