Tramboo condemns arrest spree in Shopian
SRINAGAR; 25, Aug 2013: Chief patron of JKLF (R), Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo Saturday condemned what he said “the arrest of innocent students from Shopian.”
In a statement Tramboo said that the police are hell-bent to destroy the careers of the students studying in the educational institutions from Shopian.
“If the police will not change its behavior in future then it is evident that one day a tide will arouse which will wash them off,” said Tramboo.
Meanwhile, JKLF (R) has paid “glowing tributes to Martyrs of Galwanpora Bashir Bugami, Manzoor Ahmad Commando, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Abdul Majid Khan, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Yaseen, Saqib Rafiq and Manzoor-ul-Islam.
Earlier the JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik also visited to some villages of Shopian District and demand immediate release of youth. He also threatned the government to launch a massive agitation in case of failure.
Dozens of youth have been detained by Shopian police on charges of Stone-pelting since the violent clashes broke out in the town on 17th of August 2013. According to locals, hundreds of youth had fled from their homes due to alleged police harassment.
