SRINAGAR; 22, Aug 2013: Police today foiled state government employees plan to gherao of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s house at Gupkar road and chased them away and took into preventive custody more than 100 employees, including leaders.

Under the banner of Joint Consultative Committee (JCC), employees are demanding increase in the retirement age from present 58 years to 60 years, regularization of all daily wagers and contractuals who have completed 7 years and removal of pay anomalies in all departments.

Thousands of employees, assembled at Sher-e-Kashmir Park near here, raising slogans in favour of their demands.
