Curfew Relaxed from Shopian after 12 Days

SRINAGAR: 18, Sep 2013: Authorities today evening relaxed curfew from violence torn Shopian district where five persons have been killed allegedly by 14 Bn of CRPF on 7th and 11th of September.


However no official announcements were made to public.

Deputy commissioner Shopian, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, said "Curfew was relaxed from the town today at 4:00 PM"

Pertinently five persons were killed by CRPF on 7th and 11th of September in Gagren area of Shopian.

Till the last reports came from the town, situation remained peaceful however a situation like civil curfew was observed in main areas.
