SRINAGAR: 21, SEP 2013: Police arrested Altaf Ahmad Shah, son-in-law of Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani early Saturday morning. He has been taken to some unknown destination, as per his family.

Family sources of Altaf Ahmad informed Kashmir Life, “Police raided our house early in the morning and arrested him.”

Hurriyat (G) spokesman, Ayaz Akbar while confirming the arrest of Altaf told KL that police also raided his residence as well but he was not present at his house.

“After arresting Altaf Sahab police also came to arrest me but I was not at my residence when they raided,” Ayaz said.

Pertinently, police raided Altaf’s house since yesterday evening many times but could not find him there.
