JAMMU ATTACKS: SHO Among 4 Suspended
JAMMU; 28, Sep 2013: A Station House Officer (SHO) is among four policemen who have been suspended for dereliction of duty after twin attacks in Kathua and Samba districts in which 12 people, including an Indian Army officer, were killed and three rebels were also martyred.
“SHO Police Station Hiranagar, Rajkumar Padha, a head constable, constable and special police officer have been suspended for not performing their duties efficiently,” a senior police official said here today.
The SHO was not present in the police station at the time of attack while three others failed to stop and frisk the truck in which the fidayeens travelled to army camp Samba.
Inspector Daljit Singh has been placed as new SHO Hiranagar police station, he added.
“There was a security lapse, which led to attack following which the cops were suspended,” he added.
