No Friday Prayers Offered in Shopian Mosques

SHOPIAN; 13, Sep 2013: As the Curfew continued in the town today on the 6th  day, Forces deployed didn't allowed any one to go to mosques and offer Friday prayers.

A local from the town informed, “As I was heading towards the masjid, the CRPF troopers deployed started to chase me. Somehow I managed to flee and saved my life.”

The main mosques of the town including historical Jamia masjid, Jamait-e-Ahlihadith masjid and Newa Masjid remained under siege and nor Azaan (Call for prayers) was allowed.
