Former militant kidnapped in Sopore

SRINAGAR; Unidentified gunmen allegedly kidnapped a former militant in North Kashmir’s Arampora area of Sopore town.

Police said that some unidentified gunmen entered into a house at Hyder Colony, Arampora, Sopore during the intervening night of 29-30 January and kidnapped Mushtaq Ahmad Changa son of late Ghulam Rasool aged 35 years....

Sources told CNS that Mushtaq was a former militant but presently he was running a vegetable shop.

Sopore Police has registered a case FIR number 18/2014 under section 365 RPC in police station Sopore and investigations are on.

Police sources told CNS that Special Operation Group personnel, 22 RR and CRPF personnel from 179 Battalion cordoned of Shiva area of Sopore after the inputs that kidnappers are hiding in the area. Reports said that search operation was launched in the area to track down the kidnappers, however, no one was arrested. (CNS)
