SRINAGAR; ( CNS ) Senior Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani Friday said that pro-India politicians including Omar Abdullah have played a key role in defaming ‘Freedom Movement’ in Kashmir at international level. He said all these politicians especially Omar Abdullah believes in status quo. No solution which aims at status quo will be acceptable to people of Jammu... and Kashmir. What Omar Abdullah told the interviewer on BBC makes it clear that never aims at the permanent solution of Jammu and Kashmir,” Geelani told CNS over phone from New Delhi.

“Government of India with the help of Omar Abdullah has suppressed the people of Kashmir. My stand with respect to Kashmir dispute is unequivocal and definite and there is nothing to hide,” Geelani said adding that all the pro-India politicians act and work for their self-interests and they leave no-stone unturned to appease their masters in New Delhi.

Geelani said that people of Kashmir don’t expect from Government of India. “Army not only killed Sikhs in Chattisingpora but also massacred five innocent civilians at Pathribal. Killers acted as judges and delivered their verdict that was not unexpected,” he said urged the people to observe a complete shutdown on February 9,10 and 11. (CNS)
