Naidkhai Youth Laid to Rest; Thousands Defy Curfew
BANDIPORA; Thousands of mourners in Naidkhai and its adjoining areas defied curfew Saturday and buried a teenage boy who was shot dead allegedly by troopers of 18 battalion of Indian Reserve Police (IRP), witnesses said.
Armed police and paramilitary troopers patrolled the area after imposing an indefinite curfew to prevent violence, but did not stop the funeral procession for Farhat Ahmed Dar, 18.
