3 Persons Detained in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD; After a policeman was shot and his rifle was snatched in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district, Indian forces have arrested three persons in connection with the shootout.
Official sources told that police started investigations following the attack at Lal Chowk here on Tuesday in which a constable Shabir Ahmad was injured after suspected insurgents fired at him from a point blank range and later decamped with his service rifle.
Last evening police arrested three persons in a series of raids from their respective homes in the district, sources said.
They identified the arrested persons as Mohammad Abass, Farooq Ahmad Dar and Shab Ji.
