Court quashes Nayeem Khan’s PSA detention
SRINAGAR; 20, May 2013: The High Court on Monday quashed the detention order of senior pro-freedom leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan who was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and was lodged in Kot Balwal Jail Jammu.
A single Bench of Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir announced the judgment after counsels for the petitioner, Advocate G.N.Shaheen and Advocate Mohammad Ashraf Wani had argued that the detention order of Khan was illegal as it was not coinciding the provisions of Indian law.
Advocate Dy Advocate General N.H.Shah defended the Indian regime in the case.
