In Pictures; Eid under Occupation.

Along with other Asian countries, Kashmir was also on the edge to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr but soon the people of Kashmir once again realized that they are under occupation.

A day before of the Eid, Prominent Clerics and Pro-freedom Leaders were confined to their homes...A District (Budgam) was put under high alert.

On the day of Eid, People thronged to Eidgah's (open ground meant for Eid prayers) and mosques to offer Eid prayers. Like other muslims, people in Srinagar also arrived at Eidgah and at other grounds to offer the prayers.

Indian Regime's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah along with Union Minister and his father Farooq Abdullah went to Hazratbal Shrine to offer Eid prayers, Front two rows were reserved for Indian Policemen dressed in Civvies. However a Brave Kashmiri Youth suddenly got up and raised Pro-Islamic and Pro-freedom slogan infront of the Abdullah's. However he was immediately pounced by the cops.

Youth carrying Pak flag started a peaceful demonstration as soon as they concluded eid prayers at Eidgah Srinagar.
The call for peaceful demonstrations was given by the veteran Hurriyat Leader of Kashmir, Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Youth torched an Indian flag and hoisted Pakistani flags.

However Indian Police and Paramilitaries swung into action and lobbed Teargas canisters and Pellets to chase away the protesters.

Youth retaliated with stone-throwing triggering calshes between the occupying forces and protesters.

However Indian forces continued to use brute force on civilians including women. Some among the injured shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.

In the Police action, at least 30 persons were injured.

Meanwhile, Muslims in Kishtwar town gathered at Historic Chowgan ground to offer Eid prayers but Hindu extremists attacked them. First during the prayers, they pelted stones on them. Later after concluding the prayers, Hindu extremists along with Police resorted to firing Muslims injuring 12.

Not only this, they (Hindus) also torched the shops and a hotel of persons belonging to Muslim Community.

At the end of the day, Our resistance leader also called for another day strike. In an average among every four days, one day is being observed as a strike against the illegal endless occupation of India.

Article was just to show the world how we celebrate Eid in our own homeland, not posted to divide people on the basis of their religions or regions.
